Vote For Larry- Janet Tashjian
The book I am reading is "Vote For Larry" by Janet Tashjian.This that I am about to write happened between the pages 1-9. Janet has a main character that is named Josh Swensen aka Larry and Mark Paulson. He has so many names because he moved two different times and didn't want anyone to know about his past. As Mark has of right now his name is Mark Paulson. Mark meet a girl named Janine and he is really into this girl and took her out on a date. Every monday Janine does not say a work and stays silent all day because she combat the barrage of words that assult women each day. She has never talked on a Monday for 5 years that is crazy. They have been going out for a while so they dicide to live together. He like everything about her everything but just one thing that she was absest with shopping. He hates to shop not becasue he hates shopping he just thinks their is no point to buy stuff they don't need he is a non \-materialistic. This was such a big issue that it broke them up twice but everytime he left the apartment he would have to come back because he was just so into her he couldn't leave her. They just had to come to an agreement to be together and they decided that he would go shopping with her but he will not buy anything. He thought it was going to be really easy to go but not buy anything but it's not at all he was really tempted to buy stuff till he finally did. He started buying jeans shirts and all this clothes. One day they were at home and he just seemed really upset and Janine asked him what was wrong and he said everything. He says he doesn't feel the same anymore that wearing abercrombie and fitch wasn't him and he didn't like his change. I am going to have to agree with him when he was a non-materialistic becasue if you don't need anything why would you buy it thier is no point, but it is hard to go and not buy anything.
